What is Isometric Exercises?
Isometric exercises are exercises in which your muscles are engaged, but they are not changing length. Isometric exercises, also known as static strength training, are contractions of a particular muscle for an extended period of time. However some resistance exercises help stretch the muscles and strengthen individual or a group of muscles. An isometric exercise is one that involves muscle engagement without or with movement.
